Why Do You Go To Casinos?

I was asked this question a couple of days ago by a friend. Obviously, this friend was a non-casino goer and was trying to understand my fascination with casinos and gambling in general. Off the top of my head, I answered “To have fun!” The conversation went on from there but when I got home, I found myself thinking about my answer.
I said I go to casinos to have fun. It was true and it is true. The implications of my answer are still haunting me right now, though. It got me thinking…if I go to casinos to have fun, then I should not be upset when I lose! I should be considering that (the possibility of losing money) from the outset, right?
I think that this is something that we should all think about. Oftentimes, we go to a casino expecting to win – and win big. There is nothing wrong with that. However, we should always be open to the possibility that we will be losing money when we go to the casinos. We know about the house edge. We know that there are countless other better players out there. We know that when it comes to gambling, there is always the possibility of losing.
The fun is actually in playing the table games and other games that casinos have to offer. The fun is in interacting with other people. The fun is in enjoying the ambiance of a casino. So when we lose, we should not blow our top – consider it as the “entrance” fee that you would pay for other sources of entertainment. Make sense?
Now THIS is great gaming news! What do I do now?
